Happy Monday! I decided I would start to do a weekly recap of my workouts so that I can review how I’m doing and pick out some trends. Every Wednesday I have been posting a glimpse of my daily eats and not only has it been a great way to share ideas with other foodies, but I have been finding it to be a great way to evaluate how I’m doing and if I should be making any adjustments. I plan to do the same thing with my workouts but I’ll show a week in review since 1 day in wouldn’t say much. So with that, here is what I did last week:
Monday – Hockey 75min Shinny
For your visual pleasure, I took this lovely pic of me in my gear while changing in the bathroom. This is where you get to change when you play hockey with the boys. Sometimes I get the luxury of the referee room, but not this week. Anyone know where I can find one of those mirrors….
Tuesday – Crossfit WOD
Wednesday – Metabolic Training
Thursday – Lunch Time Intervals
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Crossfit WOD + Hockey Game
“Desforges” – 5 rounds for time
Deadlift – 225 lbs (modification: 85 lbs), 12 reps
Pull – ups – (modification: added a jump), 20 reps
Clean and Jerk – 135 lbs (modification: 50lbs), 12 reps
Knees to Elbow – 20 reps
Sunday – 10km Run
I signed up for my first race of 2012, The Glencoe Icebreaker 10km in April. Last year I had a time of 50:18 in this race, but it snowed heavily that day, so this year I’m hoping to beat that time significantly.
How I felt? Today my legs are a bit sore. When I look back I feel like my Saturday had too many leg items and Hockey can really burn your legs out. Next time I have a Saturday game, I’ll probably forget about the WOD and just take a rest before my game instead.
