Well this weekend I learned that there is a point were there is too much powder. I didn’t think it was possible but it’s true. We had an amazing snowboarding trip to Kicking Horse and it snowed all weekend long which meant tons of powder.
This is what snowboarders dream of! On one run we hiked for 20 minutes to find fresh untouched snow (which we did find, and it was amazing) but the unfortunate thing was that the run levelled out to powder that went to my knees. We ended up hiking out through the powder, sinking to your knees with every step. It took FOREVER, but it was totally worth it.
It may not look like it in the pictures but the weather was amazingly warm all weekend. Fresh snow all weekend + warm spring air = heaven. I was pretty sore from boarding on Sunday (oddly enough my arms were tired), so we decided to sleep in and hit the cross-country ski trails. The snow didn’t grip well, so we gave up after 30min and decided to head home.
Sunday evening was topped off with a 9km run and a lot of stretching!
How was your weekend? Did you get a chance to enjoy the outdoors?
